The Yankees’ recent dominance over the Kansas City Royals continued Tuesday night in emphatic fashion, as New York rolled to a 15-1 victory at Kauffman Stadium. What was once considered a competitive matchup has quickly become one of the most lopsided trends for the Yankees in recent seasons.
With the win, New York has now defeated Kansas City in 12 consecutive meetings dating back to the 2024 season. Tuesday’s matchup was another reminder of just how overwhelming the Yankees have been against the Royals, controlling the game from the opening inning behind explosive offense and dominant pitching.
The Yankees erupted for 24 hits and launched six home runs in one of their most complete offensive performances of the season. Nearly every player in the lineup contributed, but the night belonged to Amed Rosario, who delivered a breakout performance in pinstripes.
Rosario finished the night with four hits, two home runs, and four RBI, consistently sparking the Yankees’ offense every time he stepped to the plate. His first home run helped extend New York’s early lead, while his second added to an already overwhelming night for the Yankees’ lineup. In a roster filled with star power, Rosario’s performance stood out as a major bright spot and showcased the kind of depth the Yankees have been searching for all season long.
Anthony Volpe also continued his strong stretch offensively, collecting three hits and a home run of his own, while Aaron Judge added to the Yankees’ power surge as New York repeatedly punished Royals pitching throughout the game.
On the mound, rookie Cam Schlittler continued to impress in another poised outing. The right-hander allowed just one run across six innings while striking out six batters, keeping the Royals lineup quiet and giving the Yankees yet another strong start from their rotation.
For Kansas City, the loss only deepened what has become a frustrating pattern whenever the Yankees are on the schedule. Whether through dominant pitching, power hitting, or lineup depth, New York has consistently found ways to overpower the Royals over the past two seasons.
As the series continues, the Yankees will look to extend their dominance even further, while the Royals search for answers against a team that keeps having their number.
