HMD unveiled a new smartphone today, along with two featurephones. The HMD Vibe 5G comes with a 6.67-inch 720×1604 LCD touchscreen with 90Hz refresh rate, the Unisoc T760 SoC at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 50 MP rear camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, an 8 MP front camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.
It runs Android 15 and is promised to receive two years of quarterly security updates. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, dual-SIM functionality, and a charger in the box. It’s already available to buy in black and purple from HMD’s website for INR 8,999 (down from a listed MRP of INR 11,999).
The HMD 101 and HMD 102 are essentially the same device, only the latter gets a QVGA camera with flash. They both have a 2-inch 240×320 display, the Unisoc 8910 FF-S processor, 16MB of expandable internal storage, an FM radio, an MP3 player, cloud apps, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, and a 1,000 mAh removable battery.
The 101 comes in dark blue, red, and blue for INR 1,899, the 102 can be yours in dark blue, red, and purple for INR 2,199.
