Two men were arrested for allegedly beating and stabbing a 74-year-old man while riding a bus on the Upper West Side.

Bronx residents Jaiden Marrero, 24, and Donzell Mitchell, 19, were each charged with two counts of assault and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to police, at 6:30 p.m. on June 5, the victim was on an M104 MTA bus as it traveled near Broadway and West 92nd Street when police say Marreo and Mitchell were yelling at a mother with a baby carriage to get out of their way. The victim stepped in and asked the suspects to leave her alone, causing Marrero and Mitchell to allegedly begin to punch him in his head and body.

During the attack, the victim was allegedly stabbed in the shoulder.

The two men allegedly fled the bus on foot. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition.

Marrero and Mitchell were taken into custody on June 25.
