Pokémon Go ‘Road to Legends’ event guide, raid schedule

Pokémon Go’s “Road to Legends” event is the final lead-up celebration to this weekend’s Go Fest: Global event. It runs from July 6-10, and it brings back nearly every raid-able legendary and mythical Pokémon to help you pad out your collections.

Alongside the huge swath of raids, there’s also a Go Pass that will last until July 12 (the end of Go Fest: Global) to take advantage of. This pass actually has some pretty good rewards (even on the free track), so make sure you’re playing to grab those levels.

Below we list all the event bonuses and perks for Pokémon Go‘s “Road to Legends” event, alongside information about the raid schedule and Go Pass.

Pokémon Go ‘Road to Legends’ event bonuses and perks

The following bonuses will be active as part of the event, in tandem with some perks for Go Fest: Global:

  • No limit on remote raids (until July 12)
  • Spin PokéStops and gyms to get special stickers (until July 12)
  • Premier Balls will be “more effective” at catching Pokémon after a raid (until July 12)
  • Party Power charges faster in raids (until July 12)
  • Origin Forme Palkia and Origin Forme Dialga can learn Spacial Rend and Roar of Time via Elite TMs (until July 12)
  • Up to 2 free raid passes a day from spinning gym discs (until July 10)

Pokémon Go ‘Road to Legends’ event Go Pass

This event features a Go Pass with 100 ranks (plus 400 more bonus ranks that reward the usual Stardust). Notably, you can earn Link Charges and legendary Pokémon candy from the pass just by playing the game.

As usual, there are specific bonuses you can unlock by reaching certain levels of the pass:

  • Rank 2: Link Charge storage limit increased to 2,000
  • Rank 2 (deluxe only): 1 additional Candy XL from catching Pokémon in five-star or higher raids
  • Rank 3 (deluxe only): 3 additional candy from catching Pokémon in five-star or higher raids
  • Rank 4 (deluxe only): Additional 5,000 XP per successful raid
  • Rank 5 (deluxe only): 2x candy from hatching Pokémon
  • Rank 6 (deluxe only): 2x Stardust from hatching Pokémon
  • Rank 10: Halved hatch distance for eggs put into Incubators

Extremely importantly, if you hit rank 100 on the free version of the pass, you’ll get a Lucky Trinket, which allows you to do a guaranteed lucky trade with a friend of your choice. A free Lucky Trinket is pretty dang good.

You can earn up to 1,000 points pass points (10 ranks) per day by hatching eggs, winning raids, and catching Pokémon. You can get an additional 250 points per day by winning a raid. It’s likely that the daily point limit will also lift during Go Fest: Global, allowing you to amass a ton of points by taking part in the event festivities. If you plan on raiding this upcoming weekend, you will very likely max out your Go Pass.
