Kamala Harris is telling “The Simpsons” fans not to have a cow, man … ’cause she’s really one of them deep down — surprising Comic-Con attendees with a video message.
According to The Hollywood Reporter … ‘Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening introduced Harris’ clip — saying it came from a super fan — at the end of the show’s panel Saturday.
VP Harris apparently then appeared in the clip … quoting a popular “Treehouse of Horror” — the name for “The Simpsons” Halloween specials — episode from years ago which centered around the 1996 election between then-Prez Bill Clinton and Republican nominee Bob Dole.
If you haven’t seen the ep … villainous aliens Kang and Kodos kidnap the two presidential candidates and take over their bodies — with one of the aliens giving a speech as Clinton.
Welp, Harris seems to know it well, reciting “We must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom” … a line in the episode that gives Alien Bill a huge round of applause.
More notable than the actual quote is the clear appeal to younger voters at a venue like Comic Con … with KH embarking on an all-out Gen Z blitz since taking over as the presumptive Democratic nominee from Joe Biden.
Harris has just over 100 days to convince people she’s the right choice for the presidency over Donald Trump … and, she’s using every platform to make sure she gets some face time.
It’s projected to be a close election … Ay, caramba!
