A worker in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, suffered critical injuries after a truck crashed into a business, officials said.(Video above: WYFF News 4 Morning Headlines)The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at a business called WNC Chimney Solutions on Dellwood Road, according to the Junaluska Fire Department.Photos posted by fire crews of the scene showed the front of a gray truck completely inside the business, with just a small part of the back end sticking out.Haywood County Emergency Services and Maggie Valley Fire and Rescue, along with eight other agencies, responded to the scene.Officials said it took more than 45 minutes to extract the worker from the mangled truck before the patient was flown to the nearest trauma center.The owner of the business, Ande Grantham, started a GoFundMe page for the employee, saying:”One of our team is in critical condition and I am raising money for that member’s family so that they can afford to take time away from work and be with their loved one. Officials said it took more than 45 minutes to extract the worker from the mangled truck before the patient was flown to the nearest trauma center.

The owner of the business, Ande Grantham, started a GoFundMe page for the employee, saying:

“One of our team is in critical condition and I am raising money for that member’s family so that they can afford to take time away from work and be with their loved one. Our employee will be taken care of by us but I am asking for help for their family. I am not sharing their name nor their family’s name for their privacy. I am creating this account in my name and I will ensure all funds go our team member’s family.”

There was no word on the cause of the crash.
