East Williamsburg is Getting a New Club from The Golden Record Team

The crowding club corridor of East Williamsburg is gaining yet another new contender this week. After soft-launching on Saturday, November 8th, the new venue Green Room is slated to open its doors this Friday, November 14, with DJ sets from the likes of BASHKKA, BEIGE, SPRKLBB, and Bae2Bae.

The 300-capacity room at 195 Morgan Avenue is from Golden Record NYC, and it boasts a thoughtful design, including a sculptural wooden DJ booth, burgundy marble bar, and world-class D&B Audiotechnik sound system. The outdoor courtyard area features mirrored privacy phone booths, presumably for activities that would otherwise clog up the restrooms. Green Room will also enforce a strict no-photos policy. In the coming months, patrons will have the option to keep their phones in a free locker for the night.

Upcoming programming will span the electronic music spectrum from soulful house to queer-led club nights. Some of the announced lineups include local mainstays as well as globally-recognized DJs, such as JADALAREIGN, Kiernan Laveaux, Pearson Sound, Mike Servito, and more. While partygoers can find the schedule and tickets via Resident Advisor, the only event promotion will happen directly through Green Room’s SMS hotline, with which the club will invite in-the-know guests to its parties.

Named after the space where artists lounge between performances, Green Room was created for people to unwind and connect, which embodies Golden Record’s mission to uplift community, intimacy, and organic growth.

“Green Room isn’t just another club,” the press release reads. “It’s the start of a new kind of underground—one that grows through care, trust, and exceptional sound.”
