The North Carolina Business School That’s One of the Top Programs

The experts at USNews.com has released their annual tally of the best colleges and universities in America, including graduate schools. If you’re looking to earn a master’s degree in business, it could come in very handy in a few ways. “Earning a master’s degree in business enables students to build professional networks, identify career opportunities, and improve their prospects for promotions and raises,” they state. U.S. News’ Best Business Schools rankings look at full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs and their career placement success, student excellence and qualitative assessments, from experts. “This methodology was designed with relatively recent college graduates looking to attend a full-time in-person or hybrid graduate program in mind, and is different from methodologies on college-level business programs, fully online business degrees or part-time MBAs that U.S. News ranks separately,” they state. USNews.com has been doing college rankings for as long as I can remember, so they tend to be very accurate.

Before we get to our state, let’s look at the No. 1 best business graduate school in the entire country. According to their experts and research, it’s Stanford University and their full-time MBA program. If you’re curious, their tuition is full-time at $79,860 per year, and 60.90% of graduates of the full-time program are employed. They offer a variety of departments and concentrations, including accounting, business analytics, e-commerce, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, general management, health care administration, human resources management and more. They often top this list, so seeing Stanford at No. 1 isn’t a big surprise. Coming in at No. 2, a Pennsylvania business school made the cut, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, tied with Northwestern University near Chicago.

As for the North Carolina business school, Duke University is tied with University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for No. 12 on the tally. The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University offers a variety of departments and concentrations, including accounting, consulting, economics, ethics, finance, general management and more. Its tuition for the full-time program is $75,000 per year. A specialty master’s is $79,500 for the total program. Upon graduation, 86.60% of graduates of the full-time program are employed. I think it’s fantastic to see this popular North Carolina business school make the cut.
