Earlier this week Honor held its global launch for the Honor 200 series and we got to spend some time with the Honor 200 which slots in the middle between the affordable 200 Lite and more premium 200 Pro.

Honor 200 hands-on

At first glance, Honor 200 looks and feels nearly identical to its Pro sibling. It’s only after you take a closer look at the display that you notice the single punch hole cutout which houses a 50MP main cam but omits the 2MP depth helper from the Pro model.

The display on the Honor 200 comes in at 6.7 inches which makes for a slightly smaller footprint than the one on the 200 Pro. It’s still a 120Hz OLED with FHD+ resolution and 3,840Hz PWM dimming for less eye fatigue. Honor 200 is slightly thinner than its Pro sibling at 7.7mm and weighs 12 grams less.

The Moonlight White colorway of the Honor 200 features a satin-like finish on the back which sparkles under direct light. One key difference is that Honor omitted an official IP rating on the 200 while the 200 Pro boasts IP65 dust and water protection.

The other main difference between the two devices is their chipsets where Honor 200 gets the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 while the Pro features the more capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Elsewhere, both Honor 200 gets the exact same cameras as the Pro model – a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP 2x telephoto lens complete with the special Harcourt Portrait mode and a 12MP ultrawide lens.

It also boots MagicOS 8.0 out of the box which is based on Android 14 and features a 5,200 mAh battery with 100W wired charging. Honor 200 starts at €600/£500 for the 8/256GB trim and goes on open sale starting on June 26 from Honor’s official websites and partnering retailers.
