OTHER LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

Asheville Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for girls ages 10 to 14 and Magnolia Mill School is for girls ages 14 to 18.

Under young adult programs, it manages Foundations Asheville, a residential program for ages 18 to 24.

ANOTHER LOCAL WILDERNESS THERAPY PROGRAM

Momentum Young Adult, a wilderness program in Henderson County, is similar to Trails Carolina for ages 18 to 25. News 13 asked the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) if the Momentum program’s license might be impacted by the revocation issue at Trails Carolina.

NCDHHS told News 13, “Trails Carolina is licensed as a Residential Therapeutic (Habilitative) Camp for Children and Adolescents of All Disability Groups. Trails Momentum is not licensed by DHSR’s Mental Health Licensure Section.”

In total, Family Help & Wellness manages nine residential facilities across the United States, plus another wilderness program outside Boise, ID, and four young adult programs nationwide.
